EDPUBMA was set up to engage in the Design, Construction, Procurement, Maintenance, and Management of all buildings/facilities owned by the State Government.
Prior to 2019, the maintenance of public buildings in Edo State rested with the different Ministries, Departments and Agencies occupying them.
However, in March 2020, His Excellency Mr. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki through an Executive Order, set up Edo State Infrastructure Asset Management Office (EDSIAMO). The Core Mandate of the then EDSIAMO was to improve functionality and quality of infrastructure as well as encourage a more sustainable maintenance culture in Edo State.
His Excellency in 2021, by an Act of the Edo State House of Assembly set up Edo Sate Public Building and Maintenance Agency. The Agency was set up to engage in the Design, Construction, Procurement, Maintenance, and Management of all buildings/facilities owned by the State Government
